Telecom
plus was formed in concept in 1996
and began operations in August 1997 providing a unique
complete telecommunications package to its customers. It
was listed on the UK OFEX in June 1997, with its customer
launch taking place in October 1997.
Telecom
plus PLC offers huge discounts on
their range of products and services, which includes very
cheap long distance
phone calls, free phone 0800 numbers for business and
personal use, and the new Mobile plus service. They
attract their customers via a nation-wide network of
agents called Executives.
The
Telecom plus concept is to be an
independent consumer champion whereby it gathers
customers together under one united umbrella and then
uses their collective buying power to negotiate great
deals from major suppliers. In this way, Telecom plus
can pass on corporate offers to its small
businesses and residential customers.
This simple concept of customer gathering using Referral
Marketing will allow Telecom plus to
take advantage of the deregulating markets in
telecommunications, utilities and insurance across
Europe. This method of gathering customers has had
incredible results in long distance telecommunications in
the USA (MCI, Sprint, Excel Telecommunications and LCI)

In February 1998, Charles Wigoder became Executive
Chairman of Telecom plus. Mr.
Wigoder recently sold People's Phone to Vodaphone for £77
million, and now intends to take Telecom plus
PLC all the way to the top.
